Nick Grimshaw's holiday home was reportedly raided by masked thieves. The former BBC Radio 1 presenter was enjoying his 40th birthday at the lavish villa in Ibiza before the gang ransacked the lavish property. It's thought the radio and telly star was targeted after a string of robberies across luxury living areas on the White Isle.

Joined by his mum Eileen and his fiancé Meshach Henry , Nick is in Spain for his milestone birthday and is thought to have been left "shaken" after the scary ordeal. The same gang reportedly hit other homes by releasing sedative gas before breaking in. They apparently wear "hazmat suits" to carry out the crimes, according to The Sun who say Nick and his family "are not hurt".

A source said: "There have been a spate of attacks in luxury villas across Ibiza this summer. Sadly Nick's villa was on the target list - simply due it being known for being used by high net worth clients," they told the outlet. "The gang would have had no idea who he was.

Sadly it's a case of the wrong place at the wrong time but it's scary to say the least. Nick was obviously upset but thought best to keep things off social media. At the end of the day it was meant to be a private low key break with his family.

" He's thought to have deleted a recent upload from his holiday. The Mirror has contacted Nick's representatives for a comment. Now it's thought Nick is back home in London with Mesh.

In January, Nick announced he planned to get hitched later this year - but not bef.
