Nick Grimshaw has been papped at Ibiza Airport after his home on the island was raided in a terrifying attack. The former BBC Radio 1 presenter was enjoying his 40th birthday with his family before a gang ransacked the lavish property this week. It's thought the Mancunian was targeted after a string of robberies at luxuries properties on the White Isle were reported.

Nick was in Ibiza to celebrate his milestone birthday, but after the shock of the raid he's decided to come home and was seen looking downcast today as he waited for his flight on Saturday. Wearing a white shirt, jeans and a baseball cap he checked his phone next to his fiancé Mesh Henry, who was also in Ibiza along with Nick's mum, Eileen, 81. The TV star and his family are thought to have been left "shaken" by the scary ordeal after the same gang reportedly hit other homes in the area on the party island by releasing sedative gas before breaking in.

They apparently wear "hazmat suits" to carry out the crimes, according to The Sun , who say Nick and his family "are not hurt". A source said: "There have been a spate of attacks in luxury villas across Ibiza this summer. Sadly Nick's villa was on the target list - simply due to it being known for being used by high net worth clients," they told the outlet.

"The gang would have had no idea who he was. Sadly it's a case of the wrong place at the wrong time but it's scary to say the least. Nick was obviously upset but thought best to keep things off social media.
