Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker missed an extra point for the first time in nearly two calendar years during Sunday night's 22-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The errant PAT, which came after Patrick Mahomes found JuJu Smith-Schuster on a touchdown pass in the third quarter, ultimately did not come back to bite Butker and the Chiefs. It did, however, provide fodder for some of the kicker's ardent critics.

Butker has been something of a lightning rod since his graduation speech at Benedictine College in May. During the address, Butker made several controversial remarks, including ones that went viral about women in the workplace. “I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you,” Butker said .
