One Newbury resident will get inked all for the price of a £2.50 raffle ticket..
. and it could be you. A town centre-based artist is offering to create a tattoo worth £500 for the winner of a draw in aid of a cancer charity.
Lee Drewitt, who runs LD Tattoos in Pound Street, is organising the event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, with every penny raised from the donations sent on to help the charity’s work. He says many families, including his own, have lost friends or loved one to the disease, and it has an effect on many lives one way or another, and the draw was a way of giving back in response to the care loved ones have received. “We wanted to do something for the charity,” he said.
“We are privileged enough to have a service we can offer at the same time as being able to raise money for charity. “It seems like a perfect opportunity. “At just £2.
50 per ticket it is affordable to everyone who would like to donate and even if they don’t win, they can feel satisfied that they have given to a great cause regardless. “The possibility of winning means someone who potentially couldn’t afford a luxury such as a tattoo, with today’s cost of living, can have one.” The raffle is being run by online firm Raffall, with the winner generated at random at 6pm on Friday, October 18.
Tickets can be bought by logging on to bit.ly/LDTattoos and the winner will be announced on Mr Drewitt’s social media channels. The prize, which is non-transferrable, is for a da.
