A Newark hair salon has for the second year in a row taken home the win at a regional industry awards show. The team at Saks Hair Newark, based on Cartergate, have won the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Regional Award (North West) at the recent 2024, which was hosting in London. Since 1954, the L’Oréal Colour Trophy has showcased and celebrated exceptional talent within the hair industry, and draws thousands of participants from across the UK each year.

Entrants must create a well-executed, inspirational, modern colour, complemented by a beautiful style, finish and total look taking inspiration from upcoming trends. Emma Goodlass, salon manager, and Lucy Sprigg, stylist, worked together to achieve the cut and colour, achieving a look that was both soft and glamorous. After entries are reviewed, grand finalists must compete live in front of some of the industry’s elite — despite the pressure and the high quality of competition, Saks Hair Newark were crowned winners.

Salon owner Zoe said: “I absolutely love the awards and getting together with stylist’s up and down the UK and seeing what everyone creates. “It really does bring so much buzz to the team and all our guests. I could not be any prouder of my team for winning our regional for a second year in a row.

“The team work incredibly hard, working long days and so many months go into the planning of the final look, while working in salon making they’re guests feeling special too. “They so deserve this. Roll on .
