Luxury apartments at The Waterfront development in West Quay Marina, is nearing completion after years of planning and development. Alice Church, associate director of estate agent Savills, said the first residents should move into the first set of completed flats in March. Builders are expected to fully complete the £69m project by London Land by next summer.

On a site visit by the Echo, Alice said: “The showroom is now ready to view, open from Tuesday to Saturday each week. “This is the most enquiries we’ve ever had apart from the initial launch, people want to see what is here, which is really encouraging. “The majority of apartments that have already been sold are the water-facing ones in block E, but there are still some courtyard-facing ones available.

” Builders continue to work hard to deliver on the 291 new one, two and three bedroom homes across five buildings – reaching up to 12 storeys tall. Those living higher up will enjoy views of Upton Lake, Twin Sails Bridge, Holes Bay, Brownsea Island and Sandbanks. Meanwhile, all future residents will have access to a landscaped communal courtyard with office pods and two furnished resident club lounges.

And the benefits aren’t just limited to future residents of The Waterfront: as part of a s106 agreement that came along with planning permission, the develop must build a pedestrian walkway along the waterfront. “That means people can walk along the water and access shops, restaurants etc.,” Alice added.
