After gripping the nation over two tense seasons, RTÉ drama Kin is looking ‘less and less likely’ to return, according to a new report. Following its release on Netflix’s streaming platform over the summer, it is understood that items and props from the old set are being sold off, making rumours of a return less promising. Speaking to the Irish Sun, an insider for the show said: ‘Right after the second series of Kin wrapped, all the props used in it went into storage to await the filming of a third season.

’ The US film company Bron Studios reportedly stored the items after season two wrapped up. However, after filing for bankruptcy and with no third season planned, the company has opted to open the storage unit and sell the props. The source also told the news outlet that props from the show will be sold privately instead of being auctioned or sold online, as many TV shows do.

Despite the show’s millions of viewers, it’s uncertain how the sale will perform before it starts—especially considering the crime family wasn’t known for its great taste. Some of the props believed to be going on sale are Jimmy’s iconic oversized headboard, some tacky pictures from around the family’s luxurious Dublin pads and other questionable items that many wouldn’t like to see in their own homes.
