The rapidly growing racquet sport padel will see another extension into the city centre , as six new courts have found a new location in Ardwick . The popular racquet sport has seen a meteoric rise in Greater Manchester and the North West, with many clubs and facilities opening across the city in recent years. The growth of the sport comes as no surprise, with its easy accessibility, court dimensions, and social atmosphere that has seen the game expand exponentially.

There are also plans for a site in Prestwich , whilst Pure Padel will also open a new club within a former warehouse in Cheetham Hill this summer as well. The company Powerleague, based at Manchester Nicholls Community Sports Ground, now hope to capitalise on the ever-blooming success of the sport, and develop new courts in the facility alongside their six artificial football pitches.

The new installation will feature six new courts, floodlighting, and a new tarmac wal.
