A popular coffee shop at Bolton’s busiest retail park has reopened after an expansion and revamp. The Costa Coffee at Middlebrook Retail Park first announced that it was temporarily closing its doors for renovations in September this year. On Thursday, October 24, the branch reopened with an extra 1,000 square feet and 43 new covers, along with six more members of staff having been hired.

Costa Coffee area manager Tina Reffin said: “We are excited to bring this fresh boost to Bolton . “This expansion not only allows us to serve more customers, but also enhances the overall experience with our upgraded space and growing team of highly trained baristas. ” The branch closed its doors on Sunday, September 15 ahead of the works taking place which, at the time, the company said would create a “complete modern uplift.” The Costa revamp comes amid a busy time for Middlebrook, which welcomed seven new retailers in the space of just eight months earlier this year. These included branches of Bolton headquartered Carr’s Pasties and Five Guys.

Over recent months the retail park has also seen a branch of Mexican food specialist Las Iguanas and a Wingstop outlet open. In October this year, the Bee Network also announced that it would be setting up its first bus service to connect Middlebrook with Wigan. The Costa Coffee came as .
