Thursday, October 3, 2024 InterGlobe Foundation launches HERITAGE Fellowships 2024, fostering research and documentation to preserve India’s rich built, natural, and cultural heritage. InterGlobe Foundation, the charitable division of InterGlobe Enterprises, has introduced the InterGlobe HERITAGE Fellowships 2024. This fellowship program builds on the Foundation’s longstanding dedication to fostering awareness, safeguarding, and promoting India’s vast and diverse heritage.
It seeks to inspire and aid research and documentation of India’s built, natural, and cultural heritage. The InterGlobe HERITAGE Fellowships 2024 are open to applicants interested in exploring and capturing the ‘intangible heritage’ and ‘craft traditions’ connected to India’s prominent heritage landmarks. Participants can present their work in a variety of formats such as photo essays, written pieces, illustrations, or other creative mediums.
After careful consideration by a jury, two fellows will be selected to delve into the living heritage linked to these historic sites, shining a light on often overlooked elements of India’s history and culture. The fellowship emphasizes documenting related rituals, festivals, traditional craftsmanship, and examining how local customs enhance the cultural significance of these sites.
