An upcoming documentary, “Chris Brown: A History of Violence,” centers around the star’s rise and fall amid domestic violence charges and includes a connection to Sean “Diddy” Combs. Investigation Discovery President Jason Sarlanis said the documentary recalls the rap star’s sudden fall from grace after the assault against Rihanna in 2009. And while public perception of him soured for the most part, the film shines a light on how he still continued to enjoy a somewhat fruitful career in spite of his wrongdoings .
Sarlanis said the documentary will include an extended interview with an alleged victim that claims Brown raped her at a Diddy party in the bedroom of a yacht, The Hollywood Reporter reported Friday. The interview is said to include Jane Doe’s description of the alleged rape that she said took place on Star Island and on Diddy’s luxury yacht. The video footage of Doe demonstrated a range of emotions, including self-blame about texts and FaceTime exchanges she had with Brown after the alleged assault, which later prompted the Miami Police to investigate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“Our Jane Doe story is so reflective of nearly half of all incidence of abuse going unreported in this country. And I believe her story will resonate, sadly, with far too many of her viewers,” Sarlanis told The Hollywood Reporter.
