Nev Schulman is back on his feet after breaking his neck when he was knocked off his bike by a truck. He needed emergency spinal surgery after suffering a number of "stable fractures", but Schulman has now revealed he's up and walking again after the crash.
Sharing a video of himself walking around wearing a neck brace on Instagram, Schulman said: "It's been two weeks since I broke my neck and had emergency spine surgery. And I thought I'd get on here [an() just give you all a quick little update. "As you can see, I'm up and about.
Finishing a little neighbourhood stroll," he said, "which was recommended to me by my physical therapist to keep my body moving." "I never had such fatigue from a 10-minute walk but I'm almost home now. I mainly just wanted to get on here to say thank you.
" In a previous update after the accident, Schulman revealed he was lucky not to have been left paralysed and was expected to make a full recovery. Schulman - who is dad to Cleo, seven, Beau, five, and two-year-old Cy with wife Laura Perlongo - said of the accident: "I never made it to pick up my son from school on the bike. In fact in some ways, I'm glad I didn't.
I was alone on impact. Me and the truck. And then I guess the pavement.
"I was alone and unconscious. And then conscious. Maybe I was fine (I wasn't).
