It follows Gi-Hun as he “remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport.” But his mission stalls as he realises the only way he can end Squid Game for good is by re-entering it. The new trailer teases this as viewers initially see Gi-hun free before a masked figure shows up.

Gi-hun tries to resist, pointing a gun at the mysterious agent, but moments later the trailer cuts to him back in the game with the show’s eerie music playing over.
