Love is Blind UK star Shirley Bekker has revealed that there were five more engagements on the Netflix show that didn't make it to air. In a recent TikTok video, the 27-year-old junior doctor explained that due to the cutthroat nature of reality TV, her own journey on the show didn't receive as much screen time as others. Despite dating all 15 male contestants, Shirley was ultimately left single, which she admits made for less compelling viewing.

Responding to fan queries, Shirley shared: "Although you see a total of six engagements, 11 of our cast got engaged. There were only four of us who didn't get engaged and I was one of them. That's a little bit embarrassing.

" She went on to explain that with only 11 episodes in total, not all stories could be followed through to their conclusion. "As for the stories that did not end in engagement, it would've been interesting to still see those romantic journeys and to see that some romantic journeys don't end in engagement, some end in heartbreak, some end in breakups. But that's just not how the show works in this case.

" Shirley also hinted at some of the drama that didn't make the final cut, including a female contestant proposing and multiple love triangles. She concluded: "We had so much going on, but as you can understand we can only show so much."
