NCIS star Pauley Perrette has told how she never wants to return to TV because she is "a different person now". Perrette, 55, starred as forensic scientist Abby Sciuto in the hit CBS show NCIS , before leaving it in 2018 and now focuses on producing documentaries. She has claimed in an interview that she never plans to return to the small screen because it would take away "this life of true authenticity" that she's living "100% of the time.

" Perette told told Hello! magazine:“But I’m a different person now, and I want to be here for it – the good and the bad and the painful. “I want to be me all the time, and it takes a good amount of courage for me to say that to myself, but it’s authentically how I feel.” She added that although she will not be returning to acting, she is “not ungrateful for all the benefits" the profession gave her.

Perrette left the show amid an alleged feud with co-star Mark Harmon. Harmon's dog bit someone working on the show, and Perrette claims he hit out after her after she told him she believed the canine was unsafe. In a June 2019, Perrette said in a post on X that she was "terrified of Harmon and him attacking her".

CBS Television Studios, which makes the show, responded to Perrette's allegations by saying the studio worked with her to rectify an unspecified "concern" that she raised, USA TODAY reported. She made no other comments on the incident after her post. Don't miss.
