Pizza restaurant chains tend to push discounts, and National Pepperoni Pizza Day gives them another opportunity to do so. It takes place Friday, Sept. 20.

Here are some of the current offerings from major chains. Prices and participation vary by location, so check your local restaurants. Prices here are based on spot checks of restaurants in Southern California and are in some cases higher than prices announced in promotions.

Domino’s: Mix and Match deals with two items, including medium two-topping pizzas, go for $7.99 each. Other choices include chicken, loaded tots, salads, sandwiches and desserts.

com Mountain Mike’s Pizza: Rewards members can get 15% off a large pepperoni on Sept. 20, plus double points and an “app-exclusive mystery discount.” The Newport Beach-based chain also has two Korean-flavored wings, Sticky Kogi and Kickin’ Korean BBQ, and Polynesian flavor, Zesty Aloha, for a limited time.
