It’s a long way down the holiday road. Try 41 years. So how delightful that stars Christie Brinkley and Chevy Chase decided to take a trip down that same road posing together in a recent series of Instagram photos, reported Fox News.

“Vacation is always over too soon!” Brinkley, 70, and Chase, 80, wrote on their Instagram accounts with a car emoji. The model and actor-comedian were all smiles as they posed in what appeared to be in the back seat of a vehicle. Brinkley donned a tan sweater and large blue rings on her fingers, while Chase wore a light green shirt underneath a pink buttoned-up shirt, red-rimmed glasses and a white hat.

They also shared a video with Chase waving to the camera. Their reunion came more than four decades after the release of the first 1983 film about the Griswold family’s cross-country road trip that starts in Chicago and ends at a southern California amusement park with many mishaps and strange family members along the way. Chase and Beverly D’Angelo starred as Clark and Ellen Griswold, while Brinkley played “The Girl in the Ferrari” who repeatedly gets Clark’s attention.
