The antiques expert and TV presenter took some time out at the start of 2024 following the birth of her first child, baby Jean. Natasha Raskin Sharp is back on BBC's Bargain Hunt, taking the reins as one of the main presenters after a break to cherish time with her newborn, baby Jean, at the beginning of 2024. The 38 year old Scottish contemporary art specialist hails from a family of achievers; her father is the artist Philip Raskin and her grandfather was the television magician Max Raskin.

Natasha initially embarked on a law degree but soon realised it wasn't the right path for her and dropped out. She went on to earn a History of Art degree and began her career auctioneering at McTear's, all while making a name for herself on various antiques programmes. In 2021, she launched a novel venture, Exhibit Auctions, selling art directly from artists' studios.

In an interview with Glasgow West End Today, Natasha shared insights into her innovative business model: "With my travelling rostrum and trusty gavel - a gift from my dad, as it happens - I'll auction off the artworks from the very rooms in which they were created. For many, auction houses are unfamiliar territory and people are especially put off by the commission added to the hammer price." She also revealed her customer-friendly approach: "I've decided to add 0% buyer's commission to the hammer price so that when you buy an artwork at Exhibit Auctions, what you bid is what you'll pay.
