Birth: May 3, 1945 Death: December 20, 2024 Nancy G Copeland OBITUARY Nancy Griffin Copeland, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away December 20, 2024 at the age of 79 in Alexandria, VA. Nancy was born in Atlanta, GA into an Army family—the first of five siblings. She graduated from Hampton High School in Hampton, VA and married Stephen Copeland in 1965.
She worked for Prince William County, but her true calling was her dedication to her family, being a mom, and being “nana”. She loved fine dining, scrapbooking, and decorating. She will be remembered for her sense of fashion, her humor, and her desire to care for those around her.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Stephen Copeland, her son David (Amy), her grandsons Ethan Joshlyn and Sam Sapyta-Joshlyn, along with siblings, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carrie Joshlyn. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 4th, 2025, 11:30am at Manassas Presbyterian Church, 8201 Ashton Avenue, Manassas, Virginia 20109.
