A bizarre discovery was made on a dirt road in Clearview Township. A neighbour came across the shell of a Corvette lying in the middle of the road draped in yellow police tape on Wednesday. The luxury sports vehicle, stripped of its parts, was found on Sideroad 9/10 Sunnidale near Concession Road 2 in New Lowell.

Ontario Provincial Police believe the vehicle may be a rare 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 convertible, reported stolen from a collector in Grimsby, Ont., on August 15. Mystery surrounds who put police tape around the vehicle and how it ended up on the rural road.

Provincial police say this is a Niagara police investigation. CTV News reached out to Niagara police for information, but have only been told they are looking into our requests. As of now, it is unknown if there are any suspects in the investigation.
