HELENA—Myrna Marie Lang Smith passed away on July 6, 2024, in Helena, MT, after a brief illness. She was born on August 16, 1936, to Emma Harriet Bassette Lang and Lewis Valentine Lang. She married John "Jack" Smith on June 19, 1953, and they enjoyed a long and happy marriage.

She loved dogs. They had many pets throughout their marriage, cherishing the companionship and joy they brought to their lives. She was young at heart with a great sense of humor, always finding joy in the little things and sharing laughter with those around her.

Myrna had a passion for plants and gardening, spending her summers outdoors tending to her garden and her winters planning the next year's garden. Her beautiful flowers were admired by many. She also took great pride in canning the fruits and vegetables from her garden, ensuring her family enjoyed the tastes of summer all year long.

In the evenings, she could be found reading, often getting lost in the works of her favorite authors Clive Cussler, David Balducci, Janet Evanovich, and a few others. Additionally, she loved reading magazines, cooking, and watching QVC and travel shows. She also had a fondness for collecting stuffed animals and dolls.

Earlier in her life, Myrna was skilled at sewing clothing and crafts, and she created many ceramic treasures. Myrna is survived by her daughter, Angela Smith (Mike); her granddaughters: Brianna Moore (Kyle) and Samantha Branon (Joe); and her great-grandchildren: Lance McGlothin, James Moore, Dallas B.
