Myrna Lynn Schaffert, 73 November 9, 1950 - August 28, 2024 ROGERS, Ark. — Myrna Lynn Schaffert, 73, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday August 28, 2024, peacefully in her home after a nine-year battle with cancer. She was born in Alliance, Nebraska, lived in Grand Island, Nebraska, and graduated from Aurora (Nebraska) High School.
After high school, Lynn graduated from Grand Island Beauty School. She and her husband, John, worked and raised their sons in Doniphan, Nebraska, before moving to Rogers in 2003. Lynn was an active member in the Doniphan United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church of Rogers.
While raising her family she worked for the Bank of Doniphan and Nebraska Machinery Company in Doniphan. In Arkansas, she worked for Arvest Bank in the trust department from 2003 to 2021 where she made several lifelong friends. Lynn enjoyed being outside as much as possible.
Whether it was a daily walk with her husband, working in the yard, or watching the game in the garage. She loved to spend time with friends and family on their boat at the lake, riding her jet ski, or showing her talents water skiing. Lynn and her husband loved to travel together and with their friends.
They had many wonderful adventures together over the years. Lynn was known as an incredible hostess, cook, and especially baker. Her grandchildren will attest to her making the best cookies ever! Many will miss her lemon blueberry bread among several other items.
