A brave woman is working tirelessly to fundraise for a cure after being diagnosed with a brain tumour called a glioblastoma. Verity Phillips, 34, from Grimsby , started feeling unwell in 2020 and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The married mum-of-four began taking prescribed medication in 2021 but noticed she was getting headaches so her treatment plan was changed.

In early 2022, Verity lost her appetite and felt sick and exhausted. Her headaches intensified and she started vomiting but kept working as a pharmacy technician, believing her symptoms were probably due to an infection.
