A WOMAN has revealed that her parents don’t like the gender-neutral baby name she has chosen for her child. The pregnant woman shared that she told her dad the name she had chosen, and was stunned when he slammed it as ‘terrible’ and ‘awful’. Left heartbroken at the situation, the mum-to-be took to social media to share her moniker dilemma with others.

Posting on Reddit, on the BabyBumps thread , the woman titled her post ‘Parents don’t like baby name’. Posting under the username @gillispieme, the anonymous woman then wrote: “I’m mostly looking for some support and feeling curious to hear from others who may have experienced something similar. “I’m 27 weeks pregnant and I was having a really lighthearted, sweet conversation on the phone with my dad last night.

“I mentioned that we have a new name we like for the baby and then told him the name.” The pregnant woman shared: “The name is Bennett - planning to call him Ben (if it turns out to be a boy).” She then revealed: “He immediately, viscerally reacted negatively saying 'oh god, that’s awful!'
