A tourist who thought she just had a "high fever" discovered she had come down with a potentially fatal tropical virus . Rosemarie Moore, 28, was on an expedition in Suriname, South America , searching for anacondas for work in April 2024 when she felt unwell. On day four of her 10-day trek, Rosemarie started feeling pain in both eyes - but initially thought it was a headache.
