A music teacher who filled out a Glastonbury field by playing primary school songs is bringing his festive show to Brighton. James B Partridge turned into a nostalgic sensation at the UK’s biggest music festival when he started playing “primary school bangers” to the crowds. Now, the teacher is taking a festive version of his show on tour – and he is coming to Brighton .

James said: “I’ve always loved how the songs we sang as children at Christmastime brought so much joy and excitement. “The Big Christmas Assembly is a celebration of those songs and the fun we had, whether it was singing in assemblies or practising for the Christmas nativity. I can’t wait to see the audience relive those moments!” Beginning his career as a primary school music teacher, James first made his mark in the music industry by providing vocals for the likes of Gareth Malone at the Royal Variety Show as well as performing with Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones.

But, after performing songs such as This Little Light of Mine on the Glastonbury stage he is now going it alone and is now bringing festive cheer to Brighton. James will perform at Komedia on December 3..
