Tributes have been paid to a young-mum-to be who died suddenly after she went to lie down for a rest and never woke up. Leah Roberts, 21, who was five months pregnant at the time of her death , did not wake up after she went for a lie down as she felt unwell on August 1. Just three days prior to her death Leah, from Cwmbran, just north of Newport, was delighted to learn she was expecting a baby girl.

The baby was going to be named Leena-Rose. The cause of Leah's heart-breaking death has not yet been confirmed by authorities. Becky Davies, Leah's friend, paid tribute to her with the permission of the mum-to-be's family.

She added on the day Leah died, she was in her grandparents' house where she was living and had gone for a lie down, complaining she was feeling unwell. But they raised the alarm several hours later when she could not be woken up . Ms Davies said: "She had gone out in the day and went back to her grandparents' house as she wasn't herself.

"She went for a lie down for 30 minutes. Someone had come to call for Lea to see if she was going out somewhere and her grandfather went to her bedroom to try and wake her up and couldn't . "He went and told her grandmother he couldn't wake her so she went into the room and realised something was wrong, so took her off the bed and started performing CPR.
