Vinmayi More , the deceased, was on her way to school with her father, Ramesh, on his two-wheeler around 6.30 am.
Police said they were navigating a left turn from the Western Express Highway towards Dindoshi to head to her school. A dumper that was also navigating the turn around the same time hit the two-wheeler. The impact caused Vinmayi to fall and suffer grievous injuries.
Her father was also injured. Vinmayi was moved to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The dumper driver was taken into custody by the Dindoshi Police .
He was charged with negligence and rash driving . Vinmayi's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination..
