A Yorkshire bride serenaded her groom on their wedding day in an enchanting twist on tradtition. Sophie Hammill, 31, sang a heartfelt rendition of Shania Twain's 'You're Still The One' as she gracefully made her way down the aisle with her dad, Alan Jennings, 59, towards her partner, Paul Hammill, 36. The mum-of-six from Wakefield admitted she was "very nervous" before the performance, but successfully sang through the entire ceremony without shedding a tear.

Paul "struggled to contain his emotions", finding it challenging to keep his composure when he realised his bride was the source of the beautiful melody. "Only my maid of honour, bridesmaids, and mum knew about it - no one else did.

I wanted it to be a surprise for Paul. I was worried at first that he'd find it awkward but he really loved it." Sophie said her new husband found the experience quite moving.

"He felt quite emotional - I think he was trying not to cry in front of all his friends," she said. Paul said: "I couldn't believe it when I turned around and she was singing - I struggled to contain my emotions. "I was blown away - she did an absolutely amazing job organising our big day.

This was just the icing on the cake! " Their love was celebrated as they exchanged vows at the Engine Shed, in Wetherb.
