Marks & Spencer shoppers have praised a new collection of tinned drinks, as the shop announces the launch of its newest Marksologist canned cocktail flavour. Gearing up for National Tequila Day on Wednesday, July 24, M&S has introduced the high-street's very first Blood Orange Margarita in a can. Made with premium tequila, blood orange liqueur, lime, agave and blood orange juice and is ready to enjoy straight out of the can.

The introduction of the new M&S Marksologist Blood Orange Margarita (£3.50) comes after M&S found the popularity of tequila cocktails is undoubtedly on the rise, with sales of its standard tinned Margarita growing 20 per cent week-on-week when it launched back in January.

Last year, M&S also saw sales of tequila move into double-digit growth each month – higher than gin or rum for the first time. The high street retailer’s drinks collection starts from just £2.50 for the standard M&S Margarita .

Cocktail fans will also find the M&S Marksologist Pink Grapefruit Paloma for £3.50, M&S Marksologist Verdita Margarita (£18), and M&S Distilled Silver Tequila (£19). In a recent video uploaded to the brand’s food account on Instagram , comedian Tom Allen tested out some of the newest items in the collection, including the Marksologist Blood Orange Margarita and Cherry Mai Tai.
