International reggae/dancehall artiste Ms Destiny, aka 6ixGal, recently released a cover of YG Marley's Praise Jah in the Moonlight , which is titled I Am The One . The Miami-based singer, whose parents are from Jamaica, said that she decided to record her version of the song as a response to the original after coming out of a heartbreaking relationship. "Whenever I have a bad experience, I use music to heal; music is my therapy.

Many of my songs are inspired by real-life situations and this is one of them. I recently ended a relationship with someone who I loved deeply because I realised that despite my love and dedication, he wasn't right for me," she said. She continued, "I know a lot of women can relate to what I am singing about because they've had similar experiences.

Many women go into relationships and give their all to men who are undeserving of their love and devotion. I wrote and recorded this song to heal myself and the millions of women out there who have been hurt by cheaters." I Am The One was produced by Ms Destiny at Grammy Award-winning producer Dmoet's studio in New York.

It was released along with a video by 6ixGal Music on July 20. "I must big up my good friend Dmoet for allowing me to record this song at his studio. The video was filmed under my direction in Miami," said Ms Destiny.

She also revealed that she's working on several projects including a single with her cousin Maxi Priest which will be released later this year. Some of Ms Destiny's other son.
