Bolton's motorists will have a number of road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week. But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes. The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways , shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks: READ MORE: 'You start to feel unsafe because of your colour' - Bolton businesses after protests Future of iconic Bolton pub in the air as it is marketed to new tenants • M61 southbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - lane closure for communications from 8pm August 7 to 6am August 9, slight delays of under 10 minutes • M62 eastbound, 11 to 12 - lane closure for barriers - from 9pm August 10 to 5am August 12, slight delays of under 10 minutes • M61 southbound, junction 4 to junction 3 - hard shoulder only for barriers - from 8am August 12 to 5pm August 14 National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
