I only thought, let’s just make songs that will be good for the setlist. What do I need? I need this kind of song and I need this kind of song. So I just set about to write them.

Fortunately, during ’83 and the album and going into ’84, Jim Vallance and I had a very good writing partnership where practically every time we sat down we’d end up writing another song that ended up being on .
