At this year’s Met Gala , Mona Patel was dubbed as the 'mystery guest' by the internet who walked away with the coveted 'Best Dressed' title. Last night, she arrived at the Forces of Fashion 2024 event in Mumbai in a long black velvet mesh dress from the Tom Ford Fall/Winter 2024-2025 collection. However, what stood out was her decision to rewear the Iris van Herpen butterfly cuff that she had previously donned at the Met Gala.

Her ensemble featured a sleek black halter-neck dress, a perfect upgrade to the classic little black dress. Crafted from velvet and mesh fabric, the dress featured a front cut-out and an open back with a high-side slit. With her hair styled in a chic updo, the makeup tapped into a muted palette that perfectly complemented her look.

At the Met, Mon Patel's look was a custom creation by Iris van Herpen , featuring a butterfly-shaped corset, a scalloped train, and a kinetic arm piece. Designed by Seattle-based artist Casey Curran, the arm piece included butterfly wings that rhythmically opened and closed, adding an element of movement and intrigue. The look was styled by Law Roach , famously known for his work with Zendaya .

For our Forces of Fashion event, however, Patel opted for a more refined approach, wearing a singular butterfly wing cuff to complement her outfit with subtle elegance, offering a nod to her iconic Met Gala appearance.
