The couple have confirmed their break-up, despite actually splitting in May. Simone, 31, and Jono, 33, welcomed their first child, a baby daughter named Gia, in March, but their marriage ended only weeks later.
Dad-of-one Jono, who is an influencer, announced the news in a statement shared with Daily Mail Australia . "We just decided it was best for her to spend time with her family in Wollongong," he said. "Who knows what the future holds our idea is just to be the best parents for Gia at this stage.
" Simone is currently staying with her family in Wollongong, while Jono remains in Sydney. The influencer owns a gym named Acero in the city, which he co-founded with his ex-wife Amy. Simone and Jono are said to be on amicable terms and are focusing on co-parenting their baby daughter Gia, who was born on Easter Sunday.
The mum-of-one had hinted at marital problems in a cryptic post, shared hours before Jono confirmed news of their split. She shared a quote about "moving forward" and being "patient" on her Instagram Stories. Their fans had also questioned their relationship after Gia's birth.
Jono posted photos from a luxury holiday to Thailand days after Gia was born, with his wife and daughter.
