Break-ups can be extremely difficult to go through. And it goes without saying that they can get quite bitter on some occasions – especially when money is involved. This is what happened to Brazilian model Marina Smith, who claims her former flame demanded £338 from her after they parted ways.
Apparently, he wanted her to refund a trip they took together. The 34-year-old model thought the demand was "absurd", but still agreed to pay-out. But when she did so, she couldn't resist getting petty revenge on the chap.
She recalled: "He had the nerve to charge me for a trip we took together. I thought he was joking. It was an absurd and ridiculous [request].
But since he wanted it that way, I paid down to the last cent.” The former Miss BumBum winner sent her former lover R$2,500 (Brazilian Real), which is equivalent to around £338. She added: "I’d love to see him complain.
I could have transferred the money in seconds but I preferred to give him a little more work. “Maybe this way he’ll think twice before charging someone for something so ridiculous. Some people really don’t get it, do they? But at least now he can’t say he wasn’t paid.
” Even though Marina’s relationship didn’t work out, we doubt she’s spending any time moping about. That's because the model has been very focused on her career recently, which has been flourishing as a result. She recently appeared on the front cover of Glamour Bulgaria.
