The owners of a dog who has been missing for almost two weeks have shared an emotional message. Natalie Burtenshaw was dog-sitting Molly — a cream-coloured cockapoo — for her parents when she escaped the house by bolting through the front door of her Carine home on Cressbrook Way on September 10th. After weeks of searching, Ms Burtenshaw shared a grim update to the social media pages dedicated to finding the missing two-year-old-pooch.

“It’s pretty hard to be honest sometimes, as I want to keep my parents, my own and all you amazing Molly supporters spirits alive. But the reality is it’s day 13, and I’m losing faith that she’s hiding under a shrub just waiting for us to find her,” she wrote. Ms Burtenshaw speculated Molly has been stolen.

“I’m hoping that it is someone that is looking after her well. She is de-sexed, so I hope she’s with a loving family or perhaps an older person who’s not seen all the Molly action and isn’t sure where to take her. I’m trying to put my feelings aside and praying she is being loved,” she wrote.

“If you have Molly we won’t give up, you’ve chosen the wrong family if you think we will go quietly.” Although the concerned Perth local has been deeply grateful for the ‘overwhelming’ support, Ms Burtenshaw revealed that not all leads have been positive. “Throughout these 13 days the community spirit has been outstanding.
