Miranda Hart spoke candidly about her love life before she confessed to tying the knot with a secret man. The BBC star, 51, shocked fans this week when she confirmed on The One Show that "someone put a ring on it". Miranda happily explained that she found "her person", but remained cryptic about his identity.
She said: "I'm married, I got married at 51 and it's just so lovely!" The famous comic added: "I'd written Gary for onscreen Miranda and it wasn't until I was 49 that I met my person." And in 2016, she described herself as "predominantly single". She admitted to being lonely until she got her late pet pooch, Peggy, to keep her company.
Then in 2020, she declared she was "ready" to find her other half and wanted to fall in love. She told HELLO! Magazine: "Mr Right, or the future Mr Hart, hasn't occurred in my life yet. But it would be lovely to find my partner in crime.
" In 2023, she hinted at her relationship status when she posted a picture on Instagram and captioned it: "Jolly but confusing. Which would be my dating profile.
