Friday, October 4, 2024 Minor Hotels has announced an exciting collaboration with a private equity fund managed by Ares Management to rebrand the iconic Reethi Beach Resort as NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort. Set to reopen in late 2025, the property will undergo a major renovation, transforming the island getaway into a luxurious escape under the NH Collection banner. Located on a picturesque island in Hanifaru Bay, within the pristine Baa Atoll, the resort offers 129 spacious villas surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Maldives.
Guests can reach the resort via a scenic 35-minute seaplane journey from Velana International Airport, Male, providing easy access to one of the region’s most remarkable marine environments, home to manta rays, whale sharks, turtles, and a kaleidoscope of marine life. Reethi Beach Resort will remain operational until April 25, 2025, before temporarily closing for six months to undergo its largest renovation in 25 years. The reimagined resort will feature upgrades to its villas, dining options, and leisure amenities while maintaining the island’s lush landscapes and ecological balance.
