Michael McIntyre's The Wheel viewers were gobsmacked on Saturday (November 2) when not a single contestant bagged any cash. In the nerve-racking finale, contestant Raheim took to the final hot seat, teamed up with the night's lowest-scoring celebrity Ellie Simmonds, eyeing a win of £21,500 if only they could nail their Oscars query. The pressing Oscars question posed by Michael McIntyre was: "For which of these films did both main stars win acting Oscars? Silver Linings Playbook, Pretty Women, As Good as It Gets or Jerry Maguire.

" Tension soared, but dismay swiftly followed, with Raheim's choice of Pretty Women sealing his fate and crushing his hopes of claiming the prize pot. Celebrity guest star Michael Sheen swiftly identified the correct film as "As Good as It Gets" after which Michael McIntyre ruefully remarked: "As Good as It Gets which is horribly ironic because this is as bad as it gets. We're so so sorry," reports the Mirror .

With hands clasped on his head, the host appeared utterly despondent, repeatedly uttering "Oh god, oh god", as a defeated Raheim departed and Ellie Simmonds face fell in disappointment. Meanwhile, the show's namesake faced grim critiques from McIntyre who described it as a "disaster". Fans of The Wheel likewise flooded X with their reactions of angst and empathy.

One viewer lamented: "No winner, how brutal #TheWheel", another echoed the harshness of the night with: "Well that was brutal tonight #TheWheel." Yet another fan expressed their enjoy.
