Wednesday, October 9, 2024 Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa, a premier luxury destination in San Diego, has announced the appointment of Michael Manoocheri as its new Director of Food & Beverage. With an impressive culinary background, Manoocheri will oversee the resort’s renowned dining venues, including The Pony Room, Paddock at The Resort Pool, Rein at The Spa Pool, and the resort’s banquet and catering services, as well as in-room dining. As Director of Food & Beverage, Manoocheri will bring his creativity and expertise to optimize Rancho Valencia’s culinary offerings, which highlight the natural bounty of the San Diego region.

He is tasked with leading the resort’s future culinary vision , which promises exciting developments for both locals and guests. Manoocheri joins Rancho Valencia with an extensive resume in luxury hospitality. A Culinary Institute of America graduate, he most recently served at La Valle Coastal Club in San Diego, overseeing multiple dining outlets and private events.

Prior to that, he held the role of Corporate Director of Food & Beverage at Evans Hotels , where he managed operations across multiple properties and generated over $65M in annual revenue. His previous positions include F&B Director roles at W Hotels in San Diego, Sunset Tower in Los Angeles, and Auberge du Soleil in Napa Valley. Rancho Valencia’s culinary program, known for its emphasis on local flavors and sustainable ingredients , is expected to reach new heights under Manooch.
