Wednesday, August 7, 2024 Mexico is set to make a significant return to the Canadian travel market this fall with a series of promotional events in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto. After a five-year hiatus following the closure of the Mexico Tourism Board, the country is eager to reconnect with Canadian travel agents, airlines, and tour operators. To spearhead this revitalization effort, Torreya Consulta, a leading industry consultancy, is organizing a comprehensive roadshow.

It will be featuring 20 diverse Mexican destinations and tourism-focused businesses. The events will take place over three days in September: César Castañeda Vázquez del Mercado, director general of Torreya Consulta, expressed enthusiasm about the roadshow’s potential to re-establish Mexico as a top travel destination for Canadians. “We believe this is an opportune moment to showcase the incredible diversity and appeal of Mexico to the Canadian market,” said Castañeda.

“By bringing together key industry stakeholders, we aim to foster new partnerships and generate excitement for travel to our beautiful country.” The roadshow promises to offer attendees a wealth of information and insights into Mexico’s latest tourism offerings. Participating destinations and companies will have the opportunity to highlight their unique attractions, accommodations, and experiences, as well as discuss recent developments and improvements.
