Meredith Gaudreau likes watching any footage of her late husband, Johnny Gaudreau — even if it’s niche hockey content. Meredith took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, November 13, to share a video of Johnny, who died at age 31 in August, talking about his preference for smaller hockey sticks. “Not a clue what any of this means but have watched it 45 trillion times ❤️,” she wrote alongside the clip, which was posted by a fan account on Wednesday.

“Love you. Miss your voice 😘.” Meredith has shared several tributes to the late NHL star since he and his brother, Matthew Gaudreau , were struck by a vehicle while biking the day before their sister Katie Gaudreau was slated to get married.

(Katie rescheduled the nuptials to July 2025, per her wedding website.) “I never post this much but John deserves it. 3 years ago today I became yours forever,” Meredith wrote via Instagram in September alongside throwback photos from the pair’s 2021 wedding.

“One of the best days of my life, including the night we got engaged and the days we brought our babies into the world. The day I met you I remember saying to myself, omg I’m going to marry him. And every day after that kept getting better and better.

I love you forever John and I am so proud to be your wife.” Meredith and Johnny shared daughter Noa, 2, and son Johnny Jr., 8 months.

One day after Johnny’s death, Meredith called him “the absolute best dad in the world” in a touching Instagram tribute . .
