“St Kilda also shines with 60 highly rated restaurants, offering everything from beachside cafés to fine dining,” Morella Grove said. Melbourne had six locations in the top 10 for the suburbs in Australia with the most top-rated restaurants (excluding CBDs). While Richmond and Fitzroy held first and second place, St Kilda, Brunswick, South Yarra and Carlton also made the list.

Three Sydney suburbs appeared on the list (Darlinghurst, Surrey Hills, Newtown) while Fortitude Valley in Brisbane also rated highly. This inner-city suburb has 56 restaurants with a 4.5-star rating or higher on TripAdvisor.
