In early 2024, Mel B — also known as Melanie Brown or Scary Spice — hinted that the Spice Girls had plans for some sort of reunion . This thrilled fans, but the rest of the group was not as happy with her. Brown revealed that her excitement about a reunion has made the others boot her from their group chat on more than one occasion.

The Spice Girls have kicked Mel B out of their group chat In an April appearance on the show This Morning , host Alison Hammond said she heard Brown “got kicked out of the WhatsApp group” for the former members of the Spice Girls. Brown confirmed that this was true. “Ah, yeah, that always happens to me,” Brown said, per Entertainment Weekly .

“Yeah. Because I say things. I get so excited when it comes to Spice Girls, because it is 30 years!” She added that she shouldn’t say anything about a potential reunion, lest she irritate the other women and get kicked out of the group chat again.

Still, she said she couldn’t help but feel excited. “We’ve got a lot to celebrate: The fact that we’re all still healthy, and living life, and all talking still ,” she said, later adding, “You know, the certain things that we’ve done together, you can’t really explain it because it happened to us five, and it was just extraordinary.” The Spice Girls reunion reportedly isn’t happening because of Mel B and Geri Halliwell Just this year, Brown excitedly confirmed that the Spice Girls were “definitely” doing something to celebra.
