More info Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sparked a lively debate on Jeremy Vine's Channel 5 show as panellists duelled over their viewpoints on the former royal couple. The discussion was started by vocal coach Carrie Grant and broadcaster Mike Parry who were guests when a caller called Angela voiced her opinions about the Duke of Sussex, the Mirror reports. She argued that the public has a cyclical habit of building individuals up only to bring them down, saying: "That's precisely what they've done with Harry".

Her concern poured through as she suggested they "ganged up on Harry, like they did with Diana," and also sided with his disapproval of the media. Her statements sent the panel into a frenzy, with Parry offering a counter-argument as he replied: "I don't think they gang up on him. You've got to remember the royal family, or a public institution in this country has been around for a millennium, and that there has to be access from the public to the royal family, and traditionally, that's always been done through the newspapers.

"It's an arrangement which both sides have heavily relied on since the Second World War. Then suddenly Harry comes in. He's a breath of fresh air wit.
