Thursday, August 29, 2024 The Rajasthan administration is poised to introduce a new strategy aimed at bolstering medical tourism within the state, under the banner “Heal in Rajasthan.” This initiative is designed to establish Rajasthan as a top-tier destination for medical services, appealing to both local and international visitors. This forthcoming strategy plans to capitalize on Rajasthan’s extensive medical facilities and its deep-seated cultural allure.

The “Heal in Rajasthan” initiative will prioritize the creation of specialized medical tourism zones that provide a spectrum of healthcare services ranging from secondary to quaternary care, as well as promoting AYUSH-centric wellness tourism that includes traditional Indian medical practices like Ayurveda, Yoga, and others, intertwined with regional cultural experiences. In conjunction with the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya (MAA) health mission, there’s a projected investment exceeding INR 15,000 crore over the next three years aimed at advancing high-level specialty care and tertiary health facilities. This move is a segment of a larger agenda to prioritize healthcare, mirrored by a significant uplift in the health budget to more than INR 27,000 crore recently.

The integration of top-tier medical services with the rich cultural tapestry of Rajasthan is envisioned to stimulate economic advancement by drawing more international and national tourists. This initiative underscores the state’s dedication to setti.
