(Image: McDonald's) Seventy-five per cent of families now dedicate a special ‘family night-in’ to bond over TV, movies, or games. The survey also uncovered the top choices for food deliveries families are pairing with their nights in. Leading the pack are local Indian or Chinese cuisines, favoured by 25% of families, followed closely by McDonald’s, preferred by 16%.

Forty-four per cent of families say they often turn to McDelivery for their ‘family night-in,’ enjoying the convenience of their favourite meals delivered right to their doorstep. With the evolving dynamics of family TV time on Saturday nights, more than a third (35%) of families who watch TV shows together report feeling ‘very much’ closer as a result. However, 64% believe the tradition of families watching TV together has become less common in recent years.

The study found a strong love for 90s classics like The Generation Game and Gladiators, with over half (56%) of parents feeling nostalgic about these shows. McDonald’s recommends these go-to meals to complete the perfect family nigh.
