The fast-food giant verified whispers that the Grimace Shake will be up for grabs at select outlets across the nation. For a fleeting one-week period, McDonald's patrons will have the chance to sample the viral purple beverage.

The Grimace Shake will be on sale from Wednesday, August 28 to Tuesday, September 3 at participating eateries, via the McDonald's app, at the Drive-Thru, or through McDelivery. Taking inspiration from the purple mascot, the Grimace Shake is a blend of blueberry flavoured syrup and a creamy milkshake base - a perfect purple concoction. The drink will set customers back between £2.

69 and £2.99 for a medium or large size, respectively. As McDonald's UK marks its 50th anniversary this year, there's no better way to commemorate than by introducing the Grimace Shake to restaurants nationwide.
