McDonald's fans have been left seething after an employee detailed a subtle tweak to one of the fast food giant's iconic sauces. Kenya Humphries (@kenyaxo), who regularly shares snippets of her work and personal life on TikTok , took to the platform to share her thoughts on the change to the dip - stating the adaptation has elevated its flavour beyond its original "10 out of 10" rating. Speaking in a video to her 111,000 followers, she announced: " McDonald's have upgraded their sweet 'n' sour sauce, so let's try it.
" Brandishing a new pot next to an almost identical old version, Kenya noted that the recipe had been modified from "glucose fructose syrup to apricot pulp". She added: "I've been told that it [new sauce] tastes like a sweet and sour sauce from the chippy, but I'm here to give you my verdict." Sampling four chicken nuggets, Kenya first tried the original sauce, exclaiming: "That for me is amazing.
A 10 out of 10 – I don't know how you would improve this." Yet, upon tasting the updated sauce, she was equally enthralled. "Oh my god, that is stunning," she remarked following a bite.
"It's also a lot sweeter – it genuinely is like a chippy sweet and sour sauce." Kenya then showcased both sauces to highlight the colour difference, noting: "And the new one is a lot thinner, which actually makes it nicer." She concluded: "I absolutely love it, but I reckon some of you might prefer the old one.
" Indeed, she was right as a multitude of her followers unleashed their dis.
